As part of the inaugural celebrations for the new Walt Disney Concert Hall, entrance is free for an all-day program Saturday. Creation Festival Day features events both inside and outside the hall with local artists serving up world, jazz and classical music.

Performers inside will include Luis Perez Ixoneztli, who combines pre-Columbian instruments with contemporary electronic sounds; I Nyoman Wenten and the Southern California-based Balinese Gamelan group Burat Wangi, as well as the Henry Mancini Institute Jazz Group.

Outside, Venice-based String Theory will perform in the amphitheater, followed by the Balinese group, L.A.-based Kim Eung Hwa Korean Dance Academy and Mussukeba Sane, a company presenting West African dance and music.

Across the street, the Music Center will be the host of music and dance performances, art workshops and a storytelling tent for children.
