Impeachthepro Is Ready to Go

Today’s eighth race at Aqueduct is only a $56,000 allowance, but the six-furlong contest features eight horses who know how to win.

Vodka, Final Table, Super Fuse, Outathechute, Folkestone Park, Papua, Big E E and Impeachthepro have combined to win 51 races and earn more than $2 million.

A 6-year-old gelded son of Distinctive Pro, Impeachthepro is the field’s biggest winner. He has won 16 of 36 starts, earned $538,269 and has been especially effective on wet tracks, which he will get today.

Owned by William Warner and Nicholas Laneve and trained by Tony Ferraro, Impeachthepro has the outside post with jockey Jose Santos.

The most accomplished member of the group at Aqueduct is Vodka. A 6-year-old New York bred gelding, he has won four times over the track. Final Table is a four-time winner who has never raced at Aqueduct, Super Fuse has won five of 14, Outathechute has been first, second or third in 12 of 14, Folkestone Park is four for 10 overall, Papua has won seven of 18 and Big E E is six for 27.

Race of the day: Mont Saint Michel, fifth in the Del Mar Handicap on Aug. 31, will drop out of graded stakes company in today’s seventh at Santa Anita. The race is part of a pick six with a carryover of $82,510. David Flores will ride the 5-year-old gelding in the $52,000 optional claimer at 1 1/8 miles on the turf.

One for the road: Right Revved, an old pro for trainer Leroy Hellman, can make it three victories in a row in today’s seventh at Churchill Downs. The 9-year-old gelding has won 19 of 71 races, can handle an off track and has won three times in six tries at Churchill.

Exotically speaking: A pick three with Ulloa in the third, American Liberty, Signature Sweep and Lydgate in the fourth and Our Magistrate and Secret Spot in the fifth.
