A 43-year-old Thousand Oaks man was killed when he was ejected from his motorcycle and struck by a passing car, authorities said Tuesday.

Gary Frank Nordstrom and two other motorcyclists were northbound on the Moorpark Freeway north of Pederson Road in Thousand Oaks shortly before midnight Monday when Nordstrom lost control of his motorcycle, authorities said. Nordstrom veered through the median and was ejected onto the southbound roadway.

Nordstrom was struck by a car driven by a North Hollywood man and died at the scene, authorities said.

The other motorcyclists, a Simi Valley man and a Woodland Hills man, were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, authorities said. Toxicology tests on Nordstrom have not been completed, officials said.
