Three berths in the $500,000 Champion of Champions next month are up for grabs tonight in the Z. Wayne Griffin Director’s Trials.

Eighteen horses will compete in two 400-yard trials, including the reigning co-horse of the year, Streakin Sin Tacha.

Owned and trained by Janet Van Bebber, Streakin Sin Tacha, a 5-year-old gelding, will be making his first start since July 12. He will be ridden by Alvin Brossette and will break from Post 3 in the second trial, facing a field that includes First To Flash, the top 2-year-old colt of 2002, and First Regards, the champion 3-year-old filly last year.
