Ceremony Planned for Delano Park Building

A ceremony is planned to mark construction of a 13,250-square-foot community building at Delano Park that will feature a gymnasium, stage and bleachers.
Although construction started in July, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the park at 15100 Erwin St. Construction is expected to take one year, officials said.
About half of the money for the $5.2-million project comes from voter-approved propositions and the rest from state and federal grants and city funds.
