RECALL Q

Share

I registered to vote through the Department of Motor Vehicles, but I haven’t received any election materials. What should I do?

Call your local registrar’s office to check the voter rolls for your name. If it is on the rolls, then staffers can tell you where your polling place will be on Tuesday. If not, and you completed a voter registration form at the DMV, then you may still be able to vote. Each county has a procedure to expedite late voter registrations for those who claim their paperwork has been lost. The rules vary by county. Voters might be required to ask a judge to approve late registrations before they can cast ballots.
