Slights in the city
In mocking both men and women who use online personals, Samantha Bonar and Ralph Frammolino in “The Search for Meaning” (Single in the City, Oct. 9) have been egalitarian in their insults. A column that mocks the obese, the unemployed, the anorexic, PMS sufferers and the bipolar among us is just plain bad taste.
Bonar and Frammolino omitted the following definitions from their glossary: If he/she claims to be “funny,” he/she means “juvenile and mean-spirited.”
