Cyclist Dies After Being Struck From Behind

A bicyclist died Tuesday after a car struck him from behind, police said.
Douglas Edward Lowe, 46, of Irvine was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 11:25 a.m., Irvine Police Lt. Jeff Love said.
Lowe was southbound on Culver Drive near Campus Drive when he was struck by a car driven by Jose Valle, 21, of Anaheim, Love said. Valle was not injured and was not cited pending an investigation, police said.
