Five Indicted in Counterfeiting Case
Federal authorities have announced a crackdown on an alleged counterfeiting ring with grand jury indictments of five San Joaquin Valley suspects accused of printing, selling and passing thousands of dollars in phony money.
Named in the indictments were Dawn Joanne Dervishian, 25, and Sarkis A. Avedian, 43, both of Fresno; Garth Noli Crane, 41, of Madera; Stanley Joe Montano, 41, of Visalia; and Allison Bohannon, 39, of Bakersfield.
Assistant U.S. Atty. Stanley A. Boone said the charges against Montano and Crane involve possession of analog, digital and electronic images found on computers and used to print the counterfeit money.
