HEISMAN WATCH
THE HYPE
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Pittsburgh
Fitzgerald keeps catching touchdown passes -- he tied Michigan State’s Charles Rogers with a TD catch for the 13th consecutive game Saturday -- but if a sophomore wide receiver wins the Heisman, it’s going to be one with a Southern Cal address.
THE TYPE
Tatum Bell, RB, Oklahoma State
Quick, name the three Oklahoma State running backs with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. If Barry Sanders was one of your choices, you’re wrong. With his 196-yard performance against Texas A&M;, Bell joined Thurman Thomas and Terry Miller. Bell has five games with at least 143 yards this season.
