Felix Potvin has put his life on the West Coast behind him, as well as the knee injury that cost him his job there.

Potvin made 23 saves for his first shutout in more than 10 months, and Patrice Bergeron and Mike Knuble scored to lead the Boston Bruins over the Montreal Canadiens, 2-0, Tuesday night at Montreal.

Potvin, who signed as a free agent Sept. 3, got his third consecutive victory and 29th career shutout -- his first since Dec. 10 with the Kings at Nashville.

“I felt really good the three years I had in L.A.,” Potvin said. “It was unfortunate that I got hurt and I missed the last three months last year, but I’m just happy to have a chance to play on a good team and do my job.”

Bergeron, the youngest player in the NHL at 18 years, three months and four days, scored on a power play in the first period for his third goal.
