You were there when it happened, but you probably know little else about the day you were born. Now you can fill in one of the pieces with a little musical trivia: the No. 1 pop song on your date of birth. Just enter the day, month and year you were born, type in your e-mail address and click. What you do with this information is up to you. (A word of caution: If you’re 49 or older and don’t want to be reminded of your age, you might want to skip this site. U.S. pop charts only date back to 1955.)

Artists use all types of graphic elements in their work, but Bembo’s Zoo employs the alphabet. Based on a popular children’s book of the same name, the site animates, manipulates and rearranges letters to create a menagerie of animal images. Run your cursor over each letter and hear a different animal sound -- stampeding antelope, chirping birds, gurgling octopus. Click through on the letter and an animal’s shape is arranged from the letters of its name. Who knew the alphabet could be so entertaining?
