1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Crash Near Oxnard
A 21-year-old Thousand Oaks motorist was killed and his passenger injured early Monday when their car drifted across the road and struck a concrete divider before crashing into a construction crane near Oxnard.
Jeremy Michael Weinberg lost control of his 2002 Mazda Protege about 1:30 a.m. in the eastbound lane of Hueneme Road, near Arnold Road, said Steve Reid, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol. Weinberg was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, Jorge Cedillo, 28, of Thousand Oaks suffered a broken left leg.
