From Times Staff Reports
A man who commandeered an 18-story construction crane in May after he grew depressed over family troubles was sentenced Wednesday to one year of counseling and three years of probation.
A jury convicted Kevin Donaldson, 43, last week of felony vandalism in the downtown incident.
He was ordered to receive alcohol and psychological counseling at a Veterans Administration facility, said district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison.
