2 L.A. Men Accused of Trying to Record Films
Two men have been arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly trying to record first-run movies in theaters using camcorders. The arrests were the first under a new California law.
Min Jae Joun, 28, was arrested after his camcorder’s red light was detected during a showing of “The Passion of the Christ,” the Motion Picture Assn. of America said. Ruben Centeno Moreno, 34, was arrested two days later at a showing of “The Alamo” after a projectionist noticed a video camera. Neither could be reached for comment.
