* Steve Rombro, Manhattan Beach Mira Costa: Hit two home runs, including a game-winning shot in the seventh inning, in a 3-2 Bay League victory over Santa Monica.
* John Tierney, Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula: Singled in the winning run in a 3-2 Bay League victory over Redondo. Andy Beal homered and had an RBI fielder’s choice and Marice Wilhelm had three strikeouts in two innings of hitless relief.
* Lucas Duda, Riverside Arlington: Duda drove in Eaton Rincon with a sacrifice fly and Steve Goins threw an eight-hitter with eight strikeouts for the No. 21 Lions in a 1-0 Ivy League win over Moreno Valley Valley View.
SOFTBALL
* Amanda Klimczak, Pomona Diamond Ranch: Threw a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts and no walks in a 5-0 Mt. Baldy League victory over Claremont. Emily Belandra and Katie Wheeler each had three hits and one RBI.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
* Jagroop Poor, Reseda: Had 27 kills in a 20-25, 25-21, 27-29, 25-20, 15-11 victory over Sylmar in a Valley Mission League match.
* Philip Rosenberg, Pasadena Poly: Had 26 kills and nine aces in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-11 Prep League victory over Palos Verdes Chadwick.
