Six people were injured Monday in a collision at a Camarillo intersection, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 3 p.m. at Las Posas Road and Crestview Avenue.
A Lexus SUV driven by a 58-year-old woman was southbound on Crestview when it collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck that was northbound on Las Posas Road, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
The Lexus driver and three of her passengers, two in their 80s, were treated at local hospitals. The 23-year-old woman driving the pickup truck was also treated at a hospital.
A 22-year-old male passenger in the pickup fled the scene before emergency personnel arrived.
About two hours later, he called for an ambulance from an apartment several blocks away, authorities said.
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. An investigation is continuing.
