Casino’s Environmental Report Raises Concerns

Sutter County and state transportation officials have voiced concerns about a proposed Yuba County casino.

An environmental review of the proposed Enterprise Rancheria casino and hotel project is unacceptable, Sutter County officials said in comments filed with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Caltrans said the tribe should consider paying for highway improvements.

The bureau can consider the comments in determining whether the environmental review is sufficient, or if the tribe will have to file a more extensive environmental impact statement.
