Mom would just love her own village

Not everyone had to get up at the crack of dawn on the day after Thanksgiving to cash in on the big Christmas sales. Some have simply been marking pages in Robb Report’s 21st annual “Ultimate Gift Guide,” which lists trinkets priced more for those who own Wal-Marts than shop there. (The average household income for Robb Report readers is $1.18 million.)

For a mere $89.9 million, one can buy the Easton Neston Estate. Located on more than 3,300 acres in Northamptonshire, England, the estate was commissioned in 1685 and designed by Christopher Wren, best known for his work on London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. Besides the house and sumptuous gardens, the Easton Neston also includes the village of Hulcote.

Or perhaps the more portable “Diamonds du Jour” collection, available for just $21.5 million, is more suited to the holiday. The collection features a diamond ring for each day of the week for a total weight of 132 carats.

If your loved ones can never find a pen when they need one, you can almost guarantee they won’t lose the Montegrappa pen, which goes for a cool $1 million. The manufacturer, Montegrappa, has agreed to accept one commission for a Robb Report reader. And because a mere pen -- albeit one made from lead, crystal, platinum and diamonds that weigh more than 48 carats -- might seem too insubstantial, the gift includes a two-night stay in Venice, Italy, and a visit to the company headquarters.

Not to be outdone, the duPont Registry has other stocking stuffers for the holidays, like an armored Humvee with a hot tub. No word if tax or license is included in the $250,000 sticker price.
