Wake Forest finally won with defense, even if it wasn’t how Coach Skip Prosser would have liked to draw it up.

His man-to-man defense didn’t work, and neither did a triangle-and-two. So he decided on a zone, and that finally stopped Texas.

“I would rather not have done it, but right now, we are still not Roger Clemens,” Prosser said. “We are still a little bit of a junkball pitcher.”
