Denver Nugget forward Carmelo Anthony missed his fourth straight game because of a sprained left ankle Sunday night against Dallas, and he might not play until the end of the week.

Anthony, the Nuggets’ leading scorer at 21.4 points per game, hasn’t played since stepping on Shaquille O’Neal’s foot against the Miami Heat on Dec. 17.

Anthony went through non-contact drills with the team on Friday, but Nugget Coach Jeff Bzdelik said he wasn’t ready to go against the Mavericks and would be doubtful tonight at Golden State.

Denver’s next game after that is Friday at home against Philadelphia.

“If he was able to play he’d play, but he’s not ready,” Bzdelik said.

Guard Derek Fisher was activated from the injured list by the Golden State Warriors after missing seven games because of a sprained right knee.

To make room for the former Laker, the Warriors placed guard Luis Flores on the injured list with a strained right hamstring.
