Bobby Holik ended an eight-game goal drought Monday night, scoring twice -- including the winner with 2:41 left -- to lift the New York Rangers to a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks at New York.

The Rangers began the game with a three-game losing streak and had won once only in 10 games (1-7-2), but they ended the Canucks’ five-game winning streak after squandering a two-goal lead in the third period.

“I want to restrain myself from being too positive because it’s a good win,” said Holik, the Rangers’ most outspoken player. “We will have to be careful not to get overexcited with one win.”

Holik’s first goal was New York’s first on the power play in 19 chances. It came off a pass from Jaromir Jagr.

Minnesota 4, St. Louis 0 -- All-Star goalie Dwayne Roloson made 24 saves for the Wild, earning his third shutout of the season, at St. Paul, Minn.

Wes Walz scored twice, once on a penalty shot, and Sergei Zholtok and Pascal Dupuis had goals in a rare offensive outburst for the Wild.

Blues goalie Chris Osgood, who had one win in his last 16 starts, was replaced by Reinhard Divis midway through the second period.

Columbus 3, Phoenix 3 -- David Vyborny scored on a penalty shot and had an assist, and Anders Eriksson added two goals at Glendale, Ariz., to help the Blue Jackets pick up a point.

Brian Boucher stopped 25 shots for Phoenix, Ladislav Nagy and Jan Hrdina had a goal and an assist each, and Mike Sillinger scored a go-ahead goal in the third period.

But it wasn’t enough for the Coyotes to end their four-game winless streak (0-3-1).

Tampa Bay 2, Philadelphia 1 -- Pavel Kubina and Ruslan Fedotenko scored second-period goals at Philadelphia to lead the Lightning to its sixth straight victory.

Kubina and Fedotenko scored in a 1:42 span on the Lightning’s first two shots against backup goalie Neil Little, forced into the game when Flyer starter Robert Esche sprained his left knee.

Esche was hurt in a collision with teammate Simon Gagne in a scramble near the Flyer goal at 2:48 of the period. Esche remained in the game for the next 1:35 before being replaced by Little, who was recalled from the minors on Friday.

Esche stopped all 10 shots he faced.
