NBA Fines Skiles $7,500
Chicago Bull Coach Scott Skiles was fined $7,500 by the NBA for calling referee Jess Kersey “a big baby.”
Skiles criticized Kersey after the Bulls’ loss to the Seattle SuperSonics on Monday night.

Laker guard Gary Payton will take part in the 989 Sports Skills Challenge on All-Star Saturday Night Feb. 14. Joining him will be Denver’s Earl Boykins, New Orleans’ Baron Davis and New York’s Stephon Marbury.
Meanwhile, former Laker great Magic Johnson will team with current Laker Derek Fisher and the Sparks’ Lisa Leslie on one of four teams in the Shooting Stars competition on the same night. The Clippers’ Marko Jaric, the Sparks’ Nikki Teasley and former Clipper Terry Cummings will make up one of the other teams.
