He Roves Goes for Fifth Consecutive Victory

He Roves will try to pick up where he left off last year when he races against seven foes in the $18,000 Sign Of Lanty Handicap at 870 yards.

Owned by Ivan Hurd and trained by Chuck Treece, the 4-year-old appaloosa gelding rattled off four consecutive victories, two after he had been claimed for $12,500 by his current connections.

The California-bred, who hasn’t raced since winning here on Oct. 31, will break from the middle of the field under jockey Guillermo Gutierrez.

The rest of the field in the race includes Tricky Dust, Ahme Gone, Ib Chick Quick, Brishane, Kash To Splash, Azeann and Coded Signature.
