City Council Calls for Election on Development
From Times Staff Reports
The Azusa City Council unanimously called for a special May 4 election to decide whether to allow a 1,250-home development on 500 acres which is now the site of Monrovia Nursery.
Plans for the single-family detached homes, condominiums and townhouses were stalled last year when a community group that wants fewer homes built on the site took the city to court.
Council members proposed the election to resolve the issue.
