Philadelphia Flyer forward Jeremy Roenick was suspended for one game by the NHL on Wednesday for throwing a water bottle at an official.

Roenick was hit in the face by an opponent’s stick during the Flyers’ 6-2 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday night. When no penalty was called, Roenick screamed at referee Blaine Angus.

“They [the NHL] still refuse to expose the referees,” Roenick said. “Granted, they might not get playoff games at the end of the year or their bonus money, but still, that is not enough motivation to get these guys to wake up and call the games the way they should be called.”

Roenick was suspended without pay and will forfeit about $90,000 in salary.

The Dallas Stars are reducing the cost of more than 2,000 season tickets and lowering the price of other seats for next season, partly because of expected changes in the NHL’s economic structure. The price of 1,283 lower-bowl seats at American Airlines Center is dropping from $90 to $65 a game, and a group of more than 800 second-level seats by more than 40%.
