Grizzlies Top Kings, Win Seventh Straight

The Memphis Grizzlies established the longest winning streak in franchise history by easily knocking off the leaders of the Western Conference on Friday night.

Mike Miller scored a season-high 27 points, and Jason Williams had 25 points and 10 assists as the Grizzlies won their seventh in a row by defeating the Sacramento Kings, 109-95, at Memphis, Tenn.

Pau Gasol scored 20 points as the Grizzlies shot 51%.

Vlade Divac led Sacramento with 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Bobby Jackson had 16 points, including eight in the final quarter.

San Antonio 86, Phoenix 84 -- Tony Parker made a 22-foot shot with 3.8 seconds to play to give the Spurs a victory over the host Suns.

Tim Duncan had 25 points and 12 rebounds for San Antonio.

Shawn Marion had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Suns.

Minnesota 80, Detroit 79 -- Latrell Sprewell’s driving layup with 57 seconds left gave the host Timberwolves a victory over the Pistons.

The Timberwolves’ Kevin Garnett scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half.

Former Wolf Chauncey Billups had 18 points for Detroit.

Orlando 98, Philadelphia 83 -- Tracy McGrady scored 33 points, and the Magic defeated the host 76ers, who lost starters Derrick Coleman and Kenny Thomas to injuries.

Coleman will be out at least six weeks after breaking his right pinkie. Thomas sustained an injury to his left eye.

Gordan Giricek had 19 points for the Magic.

Miami 85, New Jersey 64 -- Wang Zhi-Zhi outscored Jason Kidd at Miami, and the Heat handed the Nets their fifth consecutive defeat.

With starting center Brian Grant slowed by a knee bruise, the 7-foot-1 Wang finished with 11 points in 11 minutes.

Kidd had nine points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

Lamar Odom tied a career high with 18 rebounds for Miami.

Kenyon Martin led the Nets with 16 points.

New York 96, Atlanta 94 -- Stephon Marbury banked in a go-ahead three-pointer in the final minute, and the Knicks beat the host Hawks.

Marbury finished with 24 points, and Keith Van Horn scored 18.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 25 points and Stephen Jackson 19 for Atlanta.

Dallas 106, Chicago 93 -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points, and Michael Finley had 17 of his 23 in the second half to help the visiting Mavericks to their seventh straight victory.

The Bulls received a career-high 23 points and 11 rebounds from rookie Kirk Hinrich.

Houston 78, Indiana 74 -- Steve Francis had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Rockets over the Pacers at Indianapolis.

Jermaine O’Neal had 31 points, but he was the only Pacer in double figures.

Boston 100, Washington 89 -- Paul Pierce scored 24 points and the host Celtics withstood a fourth-quarter rally to defeat the Wizards.

Steve Blake had 17 points for the Wizards.

New Orleans 97, Denver 91 -- Jamaal Magloire had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets at New Orleans.

Carmelo Anthony had eight of his 24 points in the final quarter for the Nuggets.

Milwaukee 98, Toronto 86 -- Reserve guard Desmond Mason scored 20 points to lead the Bucks past the Raptors at Milwaukee.
