On his first day back after serving a one-month suspension, jockey Patrick Valenzuela has five mounts on today’s card at Hollywood Park.

Valenzuela, who had been suspended for the rest of 2004 after violating the terms of his condition license, had the suspension reduced after a May hearing in front of the California Horse Racing Board.

Tied for fourth with Alex Solis in the jockey standings, Valenzuela is set to ride A Song In A Minor in the first, Lass Lil’ Sunrise in the fourth, The Road Boss in the fifth, Awesome Lady in the sixth and High Byars in the eighth.
