Lighting up the 4th

The Fourth of July means parades, speeches, music, picnics, hot dogs and, of course, fireworks. For those who like their gunpowder combined with monster trucks and motorcycles, there’s the Kaboom show at the Pomona Fairplex. Music lovers can see bombs bursting in air accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra or by the Pacific Symphony at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. The interleague game between the Dodgers and the Angels at Angel Stadium will be followed by some rockets’ red glare. And there’s more:

All events take place Sunday unless otherwise noted.
