Officials Search for Man in Ojai Sexual Assault
Ventura County sheriff’s investigators are searching for a man who forced his way into an Ojai home last week and sexually assaulted a young woman, authorities said Tuesday.
The man broke into a residence on Drown Avenue about 1:30 p.m. on Friday and forced an 18-year-old female occupant to engage in sexual intercourse, authorities said. The man was dressed in a suit and tie and apparently posed as a solicitor.
He was described as a dark-haired, clean-shaven white man, in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet 1 to 6 feet 2, and weighing about 220 pounds, authorities said. He was wearing a navy blue or black suit jacket and pants, a white shirt and a black tie.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (805) 477-7001.
Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and a formal complaint being filed against the person believed responsible for the assault. To provide information, call (805) 494-8255 or (805) 385-8255.
