Tangled Wire Delays Service on the Blue Line
From Times Staff Reports
Metro Blue Line trains were delayed from about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday into rush hour Thursday morning after a wire became tangled between the Del Amo and Willow stations in Long Beach.
Trains were routed along one track to allow mechanics to fix the problem. Just 10 of the 19 light-rail trains operated during that time, running at 25-minute intervals instead of the usual 6 minutes. Full service on the line was restored by about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
