Man Is Wounded by Deputy, Authorities Say

A sheriff’s deputy shot an unidentified man early Saturday, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of 223rd Street, said Deputy Luis Castro. The wounded man was expected to survive, he said. A deputy was also injured; he was treated and released from a hospital, Castro said.
Authorities did not release further details on the shooting.
