Marines Killed in Midair Jet Collision Identified

The Marine Corps has identified the two reservist Marines killed when two F-18 fighters collided last week over Oregon as Maj. Gary R. Fullerton, 36, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Capt. Jeffrey L. Ross, 36, of Old Hickory, Tenn. Maj. Craig Barden, 38, ejected from one of the planes and suffered minor injuries.
The planes were part of the 3rd Marine Air Wing based at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station here.
The Wednesday collision is under investigation.
