Man Who Killed Son Dies of Wounds
A Costa Mesa man who shot his grown son to death before turning the gun on himself has died from his wounds, officials said Tuesday.
Norman Bernard Hansen, 70, died about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, according to Joseph Luckey, a spokesman for the Orange County Coroner’s office.
Two days before, Hansen had shot his and killed his son, David Bradley Hansen, 43, during an altercation at the family’s Cheyenne Street home.
Neighbors described the younger Hansen as a bully who fought with his father.
