Suicide Victim Had Been Target of Theft Probe

An attorney who killed himself in the Los Osos Oaks Preserve was under investigation for embezzlement, police said.
Police had been investigating charges that Lee Broshears, 53, may have taken money from clients for several months.
He was found dead in his car last week, along with a .22-caliber revolver and a note. The note’s contents were not divulged.
