DisneyToon Studios Gets New President

Walt Disney Co. animation executive Sharon Morrill has been named president of DisneyToon Studios, the fast-growing unit that produces animated feature films for the home video market as well as some theatrical releases.

Morrill, formerly executive vice president of DisneyToon Studios, will continue to oversee all aspects of development and production for the division’s line of Disney Video Premiere films and DisneyToon theatrical releases.

Her upcoming projects include “Mulan 2,” “3 Musketeers” and “Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas,” marking the first time Mickey and the gang will appear in computer-generated animation.
