Roggin to Join Athens Coverage

NBC is expected to announce today that Channel 4 sportscaster Fred Roggin will be the host of CNBC’s Athens Olympic coverage, which will involve much of the boxing and generally run from 5-8 p.m. daily.

NBC also is expected to announce that Fox Sports Net’s Inga Hammond will be a host of Bravo’s Olympic coverage.

It was announced earlier that Bob Costas will be the host of the prime-time coverage on NBC and that Jim Lampley will be an NBC daytime and USA host.

Keith Olbermann was to be another host, but NBC officials decided that because of world events he should not take time off from his daily MSNBC show, “Countdown With Keith Olbermann.”
