* Dane Ferguson, Villa Park: Threw a four-hitter with four strikeouts in his second start this season for the No. 2 Spartans in a 2-0 victory over Orange El Modena that clinched a tie for the Century League title.

* John Dunn and Tony Asaro, West Torrance: Dunn threw a two-hitter and Asaro had a grand slam for the No. 25 Warriors in a 9-2 victory over Manhattan Beach Mira Costa that clinched the Bay League title.

* Jon La and Erick Avila, Glendale Hoover: La threw an eight-hitter with seven strikeouts, scored twice and drove in a run and Avila drove in the winning run with his third hit in a 4-3 Pacific League victory over Crescenta Valley, whose Trevor Bell and Grant Hardyment hit home runs.

SOFTBALL

* Daniela Urincho, Norco: Threw a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and drove in Nicole Angene with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning for the No. 3 Cougars in a 1-0 Mountain View League victory over No. 1 Corona Santiago. Taryne Mowatt threw a four-hitter in the loss.

* Amy Servillo, Sun Valley Village Christian: Had a two-run double for the No. 23 Crusaders in the top of the eight inning in a 3-1 Olympic League victory over Pasadena Maranatha.

* Meghan Booth, Diamond Bar: Had two hits and drove in two runs for the No. 8 Brahmas, which clinched the Sierra League title with a 7-2 victory over Chino Hills Ayala.

* Liz Vega, Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills: Struck out five in her first no-hitter and Rebecca Schultz singled home Sam McGee in a 1-0 South Coast League victory over Lake Forest El Toro.
