Sheriff’s Officer Will Head New Police Force

Lt. Mitch Alm, a 16-year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, was chosen to be San Jacinto’s police chief when the city establishes its Police Department on June 1. The city had been policed by deputies under a contract with the Sheriff’s Department.
Alm most recently served as commander of the sheriff’s personnel bureau.
