Three men and a woman suspected of robbing a bank in Brea were arrested Saturday in Diamond Bar, Brea police said.

The three men entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch at State College Boulevard near Imperial Highway about 10:17 a.m., police said.

One, brandishing a handgun, ordered the six customers and seven employees in the bank to lie on the floor, police said. The other two hopped over the counter and ordered a teller to empty cash into a bag.

The three men, identified by police as Louis Morgan, 25, and Leon Johnson, 23, both of Los Angeles; and Jason Williams, 30, of Hawthorne ran to a white sedan parked nearby.

A witness spotted them getting into the car and gave police its description and a partial license plate number.

The car left the freeway at Diamond Bar Boulevard and pulled into a service station.

Vernae Stephens, 22, of Compton got out of the car, but the men stayed inside, police said. When police arrived, the men allegedly fled on foot. Stephens was taken into custody at the gas station and the others were apprehended after a short foot pursuit, police said.

The money and a handgun were recovered.

After being booked on bank robbery charges at the Brea Police Department, they were taken to Orange County Jail.
