Western works to be read by actors

The works of such authors as Zane Grey, Stephen Crane, Willa Cather, Larry McMurtry and O. Henry will be featured in a series of dramatic readings of literature about the Old West.
“The Great Writers Series Rides Again: Western Literature” will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at the MET Theatre in Hollywood, beginning next week and continuing through June 30. There will also be readings June 22 and 23 at the Autry National Center.
Among the performers expected to participate are Stacy Keach, Julianna Margulies, James Cromwell, Melissa Gilbert, Bruce Boxleitner and Shirley Knight.
