Holiday closures
Monday is Memorial Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday:
Schools: Public schools, community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be closed.
Public transportation: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a holiday schedule; call (800) 636-RIDE for more information. Metrolink trains will not run.
Mail: No delivery. Post offices will be closed. Mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
Libraries: Most city and county libraries will be closed.
Banks: Most will be closed; check with your local branch.
Trash collection: Trash will not be picked up. Collections will be one day late for the rest of the week.
Government: All city, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.
