That stable presence in L.A.

I was pleased to see attention being given to the equestrian presence and influence in the L.A. area (“Fueled by Hay and Oats,” Oct. 21).

However, I was surprised that Ann Herold did not mention the L.A. Pierce College equine program and the new multimillion-dollar equine facility.

As far as I am aware, there is no other facility in the area that offers an equine science program.

I am also surprised that she did not mention the therapeutic riding facilities. Horses provide mobility, strength, speed and freedom to children and young adults who suffer from every type of debilitating disease you can think of.
