Martha Stewart is asking the company she founded to reimburse her for $3.7 million in legal expenses related to her obstruction-of-justice trial.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. disclosed the claim in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The New York-based company and Stewart have agreed to have the claim evaluated by an independent expert to determine whether the company should pay it, the filing said.
