NBC will be in step with New York City when the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” marches down Fifth Avenue at 9 a.m. PST. The colorful 78th edition of the extravaganza will feature floats, marching bands, gigantic balloons, performances from some of Broadway’s hit musicals and a special appearance by Santa Claus. CBS offers highlights of the parade on “The Early Show” at 7 a.m.

After the parade, NBC gets groomed at noon for “The National Dog Show,” presented by Purina, from the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. The finest from more than 150 breeds will compete to be best in show.
