Yorba Linda Hires Manager

The Yorba Linda City Council has hired Tamara Gates, current city manager of Sierra Madre, to fill the top staff position, city officials announced.
Gates begins as city manager Nov. 15. The council is expected to approve her contract on Oct. 5.
She was selected from 63 applicants. Gates has been city manager in Sierra Madre for 3 1/2 years.
She also has served as assistant to the city manager for Claremont.
