Marin County Officials Object to Planned Casino
From Times Wire Reports
A proposal to build a 3,000-slot casino and resort near the east side of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge has run into opposition in Marin County.
Marin officials are concerned that a sprawling project would add to the congestion on the county’s roads.
Emeryville developer Upstream Development, working on behalf of the Guidiville Band of Pomo Indians and backed by Harrah’s, is seeking permission to build the project near the bridge at Point Molate.
