Pelosi not partisan

What makes Kevin Crust think that Alexandra Pelosi was even attempting to pull off a “Michael Moore-style provocation” in her documentary “Diary of a Political Tourist” [“In Dogged Pursuit of a Campaign Movie,” Oct. 11]? Despite his current popularity, not every documentary filmmaker aspires to be as annoyingly repugnant as Moore.

Personally, I’m grateful that Pelosi didn’t follow Moore’s hyperbolized lead on this film. Otherwise, it would’ve ended up as just another partisan political piece. I thought her attempts to show revealing footage of the candidates was incredibly refreshing without crossing the line into obnoxious “ambush journalism” behavior. I think we’ve all seen enough of that during this political season, don’t you?
