A sweet farewell

If we had to lose Ray Charles, I couldn’t imagine a sweeter, more poignant goodbye than the CD “Genius Loves Company” (“Ray Charles Turns Finale Into a Party,” by Randy Lewis, Aug. 31). Every selection has its own special magic, but the duet with Johnny Mathis on “Over the Rainbow” deserves to be heard by everyone, everywhere. And “It Was a Very Good Year” with Willie Nelson will put a lump in your throat the size of Chicago.
