An Inglewood school board trustee, who was charged last year on suspicion of committing welfare fraud and lying on her resume, has been charged in a separate misdemeanor case.

The most recent allegations assert that Cresia Green-Davis did not file campaign statements or disclose contributions, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Prosecutors also allege that Green-Davis, 52, deposited campaign contributions into her personal bank account along with other income, Gibbons said.

Green-Davis’ arraignment has been set for Oct. 4 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

“I don’t even know what they’re talking about,” Green-Davis said of the latest allegations during a telephone interview Monday.

“I’m definitely going to fight it,” she said. “I know I faithfully filed everything that was there. Even checks for $50 I reported. I did everything to the best I could.”

Green-Davis was elected to the Inglewood Board of Education in 2001 and has served as board president.

Next month, she is scheduled to begin a separate trial for two felony cases alleging that she fraudulently received $36,000 in welfare aid, and that she lied about her academic background when applying for teaching positions. Jury selection will begin on Oct. 12. If convicted, she could face nearly 15 years in state prison.

Prosectors claim that between November 1995 and April 2001, Green-Davis’ income was too high to qualify for the food stamps, Medi-Cal and other public aid that she received.

They also allege that Green-Davis falsified transcripts stating that she had earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. Transcripts obtained from Eastern Michigan University, which were presented at a preliminary hearing, showed that Green-Davis did not have a degree, a requirement for teachers under state law. She previously worked as a teacher in the Compton and Centinela Valley school districts.
